The goal of this project was to generate control signals from sensor data placed in refrigerated containers, in order to more closely and effectively monitor perishable goods transported in these containers.

The sensors regularly transmit information on temperature, humidity, and light levels, among other variables. One of the client’s main concerns was the unscheduled opening of containers (for example, due to customs inspections), which could affect the condition of the transported goods. Data processing through a Python algorithm allowed the detection of these openings and closings by analyzing the evolution of the various variables over time.

The collected and processed data could also be visualized through Power BI dashboards.
